Gertrude 'poems' - a new yesterdays doll, this one I think will be going to Frou Frou (contemporary embroidery group show in Weston-Super-Mare - September). Gertrude wears a combination of hand and machine stitch, I like that. I like putting the machine handwriting and a band of tiny hand-stitched crosses right there together. So it can work, combining the both....More soon x

I love the old fashioned name "Gertrude" - perfect for an old fashioned yesterdays doll, which is perfect in every way, but I'm chuckling because the name reminds me of Basil Brush's "dirty Gerty from number 30"! Sorry Cathy! :o)
Would love to visit 'frou frou' when is it on and where?
Her face looks like she´s a dedicated + hard working poetress... and what you say about machine/hand stitching - absolutely right...!
ps. I forgot to tell you on the previous comment how much I love Owl Feather, Fox Fire
Thank you for your comments! Carolyn, you made me smile, Basil Brush indeed! my kids watch that feisty fox but he's not so charming these days...:)
Yes, I should give a link for the frou frou info. There's a link on my facebook page, to another fb page, also look here:
