custom painting giveaway

I've been creating this bear over the past several weeks.... a gift to myself (with my 40th coming up in just over a week....oh....).... I designed him as an old-fashioned bear with a hump and longish limbs and semi-sparse mohair fur. Made using my own pattern, of course. I used to make bears, many moons ago, as a hobby. Now I don't have so much time to make them, and haven't felt the inclination, but I saw this 'red fur' and it had to happen that a new bear came about..... It was difficult to photograph him today as it is so rather dull, oh dear...

As mentioned, it's my birthday soon, and so I am offering a small giveaway, something a bit different (and sorry not a bear!)... I've offered stitched work and a doll, so now painting.... I am offering you a custom painting. I'll paint you a smaller work, following your guidelines. Choose one from each list.

feather face pattern
red blue sepia black
poem memory song

eg: feather red song

and I'll paint something with these in mind.... I may add a little collage or stitch detail, possibly.... I'll send it to you, and you won't see it until you have it in your hands, then I'll share a photo here.

I'm not offering one, but THREE custom paintings! - and so.... leave a comment here - include what you would like - and make sure I can contact you. Any problem with leaving a comment and you can email me: ccullis at gmail dot com

Three winners will be selected, randomly, next Friday evening 6th November..... and I'll send the paintings asap after that...... I hope you will like your custom small artwork.

Tomorrow I shall be adding a few new paintings to my etsy shop (see yesterday's post). Here are a pair of tiny works I'll most likely be offering....

And another, a mixed media chair portrait, postcard size:

Have a very good weekend x

And an also! There is a new poem to read at nevering.....

I just had my "round number" birthday as well! So far, so good!
Face, red, song is what I'd answer to your query. It sounds very mystical, all of these responses, don't they?

Hej Cathy,
You have been busy again. What a lovely paintings you made, especially the chair. For some years I had a poster of a rocking chair in my room. Think it is therefore that I have a soft spot for chairs.

If I happen to be the lucky one I choose poem, memory, song. These three words are almost a summary of Soul Food. Yes, I'm still working on this project but it is almost finished.

Well have a lovely weekend. Hope the sun will be shining as wonderful as it did today.

Elizabeth

Your birthday bear is lovely - he is quite similar to my childhood teddy and brings back beautiful memories.
Do have a lovely 40th - my next round one is double that.
If I am so lucky to win one of your lovely paintings I would like it to be - feather - red - memory.
God bless.
