Octavia and her little rabbity friend...... Octavia is a new design and after a while of making quite tiny dolls, Octavia is so rather grand in size...... I think it was the buckle, the vintage mother of pearl buckle, that started me on the journey toward making this doll design. I bought it (infact I bought two the same) and wanted to use that buckle somehow, perhaps a piece of jewellery or a belt to wear myself, but I decided a doll..... And just recently I've been in doll mood, which is not something easily described, but when I start drawing doll shapes on scraps of paper, I know....Octavia has button jointed legs so that she can sit and she can stand. Her construction is typically primitive in style, because I like my dolls that way.
I'm working on many new pieces at the moment. Tomorrow I'll show some of the new mixed media collages I've been creating. Until then, thank you and happy first of October already....x

Octavia is delightful. She has a demurness, and poise and i'm sure she wouldn't dominate the conversation, like some other rabbits i've known.
