Thank you for all your comments and birthday wishes this week x I had a quiet birthday with my nearest.... we went for lunch and then came home with cakes.... Had some nice cards and pressies....
I'm wearing a lovely birthday scarf knitted for me by my friend Carolyn aka Love Stitching Red
It was a slightly windswept but sunny day. I can't remember the last time the sun shone on my birthday.... So last night, after a fine day, a fine evening and fireworks all around. As we live on a bit of a hill, we got a good view of several displays.
I'm never that keen on pictures of myself, you know how it is. But I thought I would have a few snapshots so I know how it was.... and no it is not downhill from here! Thank you to everyone who has said how positive moving into your forties can be. My thirties were such a rollercoaster ride, at times; I'm feeling more myself these days. Which is not always easy, as I know I have my strengths and faults like the next person..... But mostly it's ok being me.
Enjoy your Sunday. (I'll be updating my etsy shop with a few new paintings and monoprint collages...... this evening.)

ah, cathy. SO LOVELY to see your beautiful, radiant face! you need to do this more often. and remember to take photos of your hands, so you will be able to look back in years to come, and see what your hands looked like at 40. i do this with my own, and with my parents' as well. and my childrens', who are now 22 and 24.
i'm sorry your day slipped by me without my wishing you a happy one. so, a belated happy birthday to gorgeous you.......x
