Good Monday to you! Many thanks to the artists and photographers featured here for sharing their work via my Flickr contacts...... A misty, chilly start to the week. The mist is lingering and the sun has given up trying to burn through.... my son said this morning today is the first day of Winter. Well, maybe it felt like it.....
This week I am busy working on many stitches, new dolls too. A painting project that I will tell you more about tomorrow. Drawings, paintings..... something and everything. I have the We Make London show to not so far ahead. So I want to have a good selection of work for the day.
I shall be updating my own shop with a small selection of items this Wednesday 11th.
Yesterday I updated my etsy shop with a few new works, and a few have sold already, thank you x
This week's colour is: gold... Inspired by the new December gold-themed issue of World of Interiors magazine, which is eye candy and inspiring indeed..... I have just bought some gold thread. We shall see....
Listening to: Unthanks CD that came out in September 'Here's the tender coming' - beautiful English folk voices. I loved their first album and this one is also very good. I don't listen to many songs with lyrics when I work, as I find they distract me. I tend to listen to quite minimalist classical music and so on. Music without words but a steady pulse to keep me moving along. But when not working I like to listen to songs. Often that's stood by the kitchen sink washing up.
Reading: still reading the Winterson 'Stone Gods' - as per last week. It's been a busy week and I don't read too much at night before falling asleep....
Have a very good week. And thank you, a big thank you for all your birthday wishes.
More soon....x

I think my birthday wish disappeared into the big blog oblivion. Something about going too fast and forgetting the anti spam barrier! In anycase, I'm looking forward to your gold thread work - and can only say ...'Life begins at 40!'
Hi Cathy, great mosaic as always. I'm looking forward to checking these artists out when I get a spare moment. A very busy week ahead indeed. No time for flickr or much blogging for me this week! I'm up against the clock with commissions for a gallery and a magazine
So interesting that you are having a gold week. In January I am having a "gold month". It's my parents golden wedding anniversary in February 2010 and I'm making them a special contemporary goldwork piece. I've a feeling it may take me a little while ...
Have a great week. I'll pop back and see you and catch up with any posts at the weekend
carolyn :o) xx
As always, your choices for Mosaic Monday Make Me Melt.
