I shall be here for the dreaming
another artist book - but this one is quite tiny, at just 5cm tall...... tiny does not mean less detailed, not for me. If you know my work you know I often like to work on a small scale.... (I like having the complete object in my palm).
this book combines machine embroidery with very small monoprint drawings, some of the drawings on paper from a book. I like using the yellowed paper.
Now I'm tired and ready for bed, so will go and do some deep sleep dreaming.... This time of year my dreams are very complex and long..... last night I had a strange dream about being back at my first university and seeing people eating with flower shaped spoons......
more tomorrow x

This is beautiful
these colors are gorgeous...when I first saw it I let out a small gasp...so beautiful...
These books are to be collected!!!
these books are getting even more gorgous!
cathy...another "wow".
Cathy, I love you.
Loving the books Cathy, there's something about them that takes me back, but I can't quite put my finger on it yet. Love the combination of fabric, thread and print.
I love the sequence as you have constructed it- there is an element of going back and forth in time and that's really quite lovely and adds depth to the visual qualities-
Annamaria :)
I like its smallness - something very fragile and delicate about it, but at the same time very strong and resilient.

Something draws me to your art...I'm not sure what it is exactly; I'm not sure I want to figure it out either. I'm content to believe it is a mystical connection.
I love all the little books you´ve been making lately. They are like small, visual poems.
I am fascinated by your artist books!
