A happy Summer Solstice Monday to you...... Apologies for no sketchbook pages yesterday so here they are today......
Unfortunately I have been feeling the pain of wisdom teeth nagging me - they flare up every so often, so yesterday evening I was in no mood to do anything but feel sorry for myself....... I shall be ok.....
I am busy getting things prepared for my Midsummer Event - starts tomorrow in my shop. I'm offering past work at special prices....

Just a selection of a few drawings and stitches.....
One of the things I am excited about offering is a 'surprise lucky dip' envelope of two or three original works on paper + postcard prints, moo cards etc.... from the recent past - each envelope for just £12. Each a surprise.
You will be able to see more tomorrow..... now I must get on with the task.....
Have a very good week.

i do hope your dental pain disappears soon.
I think that sort of pain is one of the worst , especially when it goes on for too long.
i love the new hair styles in your drawings today.
thank you kindly Margie and Jenny x
Summer has snuck up on me! I wish you well with the teeth.... you don't want them out?? Will check the sale :)
Lovely drawings...I get lost in thought looking at their eyes and wondering what's behind them....so captivating.
Enjoy the Solstice...I think the only solution to painful wisdom teeth is to have them removed, which you must know already.
Oh, I made sure that I woke up early to chech out the sale..... I made some very nice purchases. I am very pleased..... Thank you for this wonderful oppertunity.
Dear Cathy,
I found out about your name and work through the Salt book cover exchange. So I took a look at this your blogspot and found A real Madge Gill connection. Are you aware of her work? You must be inspired by it if you do. Nice to see this here. Pamela
thank you for your comments, yes indeed Pamela, I do know and am greatly inspired by the work of Madge Gill. I wrote my undergrad dissertation on outsider art and one of the artists I considered was Gill. I've gone on to develop ideas of my own coming from an admiration for her obsessive drawing. Thanks!
