Pointy Hat Revival

Say hello to the pointy hat revival..... it has been a while. I have thought about why I am making them again and how to explain: it's something to do with a need to exercise my silly side and something more to do with a chat I had with my teenaged daughter. We were talking about how it is to easy to feel a lack of direction and how it's important to make the most of each day. She told me: mum do what makes you happy. Do something completely different for a while.

It's been fun knitting noses again.

I can hear them tap-dancing, even in their sleep....

He's a big guy. He is part snowman, part hat dweller. He really wants me to make a large white theatre so that I can photograph him and his friends in a brighter way.... to work......

These new chaps will be available November, I think.

I love these guys so much, maybe because I need to have a silly side right now. I do believe that their noses are my favorite things about these fellows. Can't wait to see the new art in November.

As the proud custodian of 3 pointy hat chaps I'm delighted to see you indulging in their loveliness again.

Mine all live on a little shelf in my bedroom, looking out of a window. It's the same shelf I use to stage lots of photos of my own creative work so I get to handle them often when I move them out of the way and put them back again.

I still love them as much as ever. They're perfect companions!

Julie :-)
