inspiration

workspace

Every so often I like to rearrange my space and put together a new selection of inspiration - though old favourites will stay out for longer... you may notice here, if you look carefully at the glazed box frame, I have put together some tiny sketchbooks from a few months ago, framed as a group. Somehow I like to have my own work/ideas with inspiring and beautiful images from other places. As a regular visitor to public galleries, I have collected many postcards over the years....

Cathy your visual inspiration truly would inspire anything with a beating heart!! What a lovely lovely vision you have. The thing that jumped out for me, was the black lamp shade with glass base. Just like a shot in some fancy interior decorating magazine (the kind I pour over for hours on end...dreaming...). Love your work. *smiles* Norma xo

Thank you Norma! I love to get inspiration from lots of different places - the lamp you see was a real bargain. I bought the glass base secondhand for just £10 and the shade came from a cheap-n-cheerful other lamp. I'm really pleased with it, best wishesxx

Very inspiring! I love how you put your tiny sketchbooks together and framed. It somehow reminded me of the antiquities or very old fragile books displayed behind the glass in museums. And LOVE the sepia photo below!!
Wishing you a happy week. x
