Hello, a happy October Monday to you - a bright, mild autumnal start to the week here.... It's sunny outside at the moment but I know the evening will be here soon, and we are now coming to the 'eating dinner with the lights on' time of year, again. It comes around again.... Thanks always to the artists and photographers for their images in this week's mosaic. Please do follow links to discover much more.

This week: I started the week by making a simple pledge - noting that I now have 10k+ followers on Instagram, I am most grateful - and so as a small gesture of gratitude I shall be donating 10% of shop sales this week to Amnesty International. The people that kindly follow my work are near and far, so I have chosen to give to an international charity that works for people everywhere it can. This is really just a humble thing to do, but something I want to do.

Thanks always for following me here! I realise blog reading might not be top of people's lists of things to do. But I hope you are enjoying what you see, and will continue to pop by. Writing here does allow me to explain a little more, give background to ideas, and reach people who might not be into Instagram, for example. We all have our social media preferences. I've not much time for Facebook, these days. I just don't like it so much. And there are so many hours in each day etc.....

I have been busy painting today and shall share new work with you tomorrow. Autumn is a big influence in my work and palette right now - but I am exploring other ideas too. I've also been working on new monochrome portraits.

More tomorrow - have a good start to your week.
